Soma Yoga provides gentle yoga classes that help the good people of Leeds to de-stress and unwind.

Mel asked me to create a brand identity that would appeal to those looking for a softer, therapeutic approach to yoga. The logo combines the initials S and Y into a yoga pose, and the type treatment is rounded, open and friendly. To support this I created a series of hand-drawn elements in shades of green that echo Mel’s gentle and natural approach.

This new identity was then applied to various touch-points throughout the business, including stationery, flyers and social graphics.

“So happy with the design solution and the service provided by Fenwick Studio. Chris really took the time to listen to what I needed and came up with oodles of creative ideas and options that met the brief perfectly.” Mel Hibbert, Director

The Leeds based designer Sarah Gill asked me to redesign a website for her client Tap & Barrel.

The Vancouver based restaurant had recently refreshed their brand, so needed to redesign their company website to reflect the change. Sarah and I worked with the client to develop a clear vision for the site. Then I took care of the visual design whilst Sarah handled the development.

The new site is due for launch later in 2020.

The team at Rock Solid Knowledge created a Zendesk plugin that measures the happiness of customers.

They asked me to create an identity for the plugin that would stand out and be instantly recognisable amongst the plethora of plugins in the app directory. I chose a vibrant colour palette that isn’t widely used within the marketplace and created a logo that is easy to adapt for ‘Lite’ and ‘Pro’ versions of the product.

I was honoured to be asked by the Stanley family to redesign the website for Merseyside’s only stately home, Knowsley Hall.

I worked closely with the team at Knowsley Hall to produce a website that delivers on their brand promise of ‘Authentic Stately Experience’.

Helen Boardman is an employee culture and communications consultant that partners with leaders and employees to create people-centred, engaging and inclusive cultures at work.

Helen needed a brand identity that would accurately reflect the nature of her work and position her business in the mind of her clients as having exceptionally high standards, and the reliability of delivering them.

The key sentiment that Helen wanted to convey through her brand was ‘putting people at the centre of business’. I kept this in mind during the concept stage of the project, and a happy face emerged from the logo that seemed to perfectly describe this sentiment.

Nationwide is the world’s largest building society, and I’ve been lucky enough to work on many projects for them over the years.

These have included an interactive festival map illustrating a year in focus for Nationwide’s Treasury department, and an infographic of statistics celebrating the achievements of Nationwide’s Digital Workplace team.

10EQS are a global business-knowledge provider that combines independent top tier consultants with external industry experts.

They asked me to redesign their existing website and marketing material, to better reflect the nature of their business. The website structure and content was simplified, and the visual design was modernised in line with the organisation’s brand guidelines. A redesign of their introductory presentation was also needed in order to make it simpler, cleaner and more visually engaging.

Three of the Hiroy team

The Bristol based brand and web agency Big Fan asked me to create a series of illustrated characters for their client Hiroy.

Each character is based on a team member of the Swedish digital marketing agency, and in order to capture their likeness and personality I was given a series of photographs and biographies to work from. The lovely people at Big Fan produced an amazing brand and website for Hiroy so you can see the characters in situ.
